Carden Family Auction Service is a locally owned and world renowned auction and estate sale service located in Amsterdam, NY. It is owned by Barbara and Kenneth Carden. Kenneth Carden has experience as an auctioneer and has done auctions in the US, Europe and Canada. They specialize in many antiques and hard to find items including fine antique furniture, lamps, clocks and stoneware to name some.

Carden Family Auction Service offers local auction for the Capital Region in their large auctioning hall. They are located at 4908 State Highway 30 in Amsterdam, NY located across from the Hannaford and Home Depot Plaza. They have plenty of parking for all to come with a 50,000 square foot parking lot, a snack bar and a very experienced, friendly and professional staff. If you cannot attend personally, auction bids can be done online through www.proxibid.com/CardenAuction where all bids are live and in real time. Phone bids are also accepted. Carden Family Auction Service are currently accepting antique consignments (sorry, no religious items and firearms) including but not limited to coins, tools, household goods, store close-outs, complete and partial estates. They also purchase antiques, gold and silver outright.

BIDDERS TERMS & CONDITIONS

Cash, certified funds, VISA®, MasterCard® and DISCOVER® are accepted forms of payment. Personal or company check will be accepted if accompanied by a current and valid bank letter and with proper ID. All purchases are to be paid in US dollars at the time and place of the sale. A 5% buyer's premium plus $1 per item handling fee will be added to the hammer price of each lot sold. A 8% New York sales tax will be charged to all purchases unless a certificate of resale has been filed with our office. Absentee or phone bidders must arrange that payment be made within 48 hours from the time the auction closes.

Bidders holding a valid New York State resale number must provide their certificate or a copy thereof when registering or will be required to pay 8% New York State sales tax on purchases.

Carden Family Auction Service's printed materials (i.e. Partial Catalogs, Catalogs & Advertisements, including this web site) are meant merely as a guide. The Auctioneer does not warrant the accuracy, genuineness, authenticity, condition, description, weight, count or measure of any of the lots specified herein.

Please make yourself familiar with the merchandise you are bidding on, together with the terms and conditions of the sale. Prospective buyers should satisfy themselves by personal inspection as to the condition of each lot. Although condition reports may be given upon request, such reports are statements of opinion only. Statements made by Auctioneer and/or staff of Auctioneer are opinions only and should not be construed as statements of fact.

Regardless of whether or not a condition report is given all property is sold subject to Item #1 of our "Conditions of Sale," which provides that all property is sold as is. The absence of a condition report does not imply that the property is in good condition. All dimensions are approximate.

CONSIGNING YOUR PROPERTY

You may consign your property for sale at the next monthly auction in our Auction House, or Carden Family Auction Service can auction your property on site at your location if appropriate. Their staff assists in every step of the process.

Carden Family Auction Service provides an accurate and detailed inventory of your consignment and reports the prices realized for each item. We provide safe storage for your property and all items are insured during the entire auction process. Payment for auctioned property is usually provided in full within 48 hours after the sale. Cash advances can be arranged in some instances.
